Case Study Chichester Festival Theatre

We have worked for Chichester Festival Theatre for 13 glorious years.

We look back at all the work we’ve created – the images, brochures, posters, leaflets, campaigns and programmes – with amazement, and a gentle sense of pride.

Our relationship with Jonathan Church, Alan Finch and their marketing department is always productive and enjoyable. Along the way, we debate a lot and we laugh a lot – even the occasional tussles turn to smiles. There are big challenges and with them big pressures, but the closeness we’re given to CFT’s programming plans allows us to create solutions in the way we like best – in step with our client, keeping the process open and staying responsive.

Over the years we’ve undertaken many in-house photo shoots, commissioned illustrators (including tattooists), hunted down props and images from around the world, played with fire, water, and blood; and built Fleet Street (albeit from cardboard).

Through Broadway musicals, epic dramas, classic and contemporary playwrights, world premieres, major revivals, the splendour of the temporary Theatre on the Fly, the 50th Anniversary and the gloriously renewed Festival Theatre, we’ve covered some ground with CFT since 2005 – and we’ve loved every inch of the journey.
